2024 Goals and Lenten Reflections

This year I decided to embrace and follow my passions and do the things I feel called to do without conforming to what other people expect of me.

I applied for a return to study and was accepted for Semester One 2024. Being able to choose what I study and have the freedom to leave if I decide it isn’t for me will hopefully make for a more positive experience. Semester One will be Creative Futures and Fashion Communication focused and I hope to share some of what I learn and create even better content as I grow my skills and knowledge.

On this blog I want to share my own ethical and sustainable fashion journey and document my brand finds with a special focus on Australian fashion. I love to read fashion magazines, especially physical publications. A lot of my posts, especially early on when I’ve barely started my university degree, will be based on articles I’ve read and I will always cite sources to let you know where you can read more.

This Lent season the thing I want to “give up” is doomscrolling and losing time to unfulfilling habits. For every hour I lose to doomscrolling I want to put an equal or greater amount of time into reading or blogging or even playing video games, anything that adds value to my life rather than getting stuck looking at things I don’t care about and won’t even remember later.

For me, Lent is a time where I try to remove bad habits and replace them with good ones and I have high hopes for this year. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens once university starts for me in 2 weeks. I hope I can build up a beautiful and useful catalogue of ethical and sustainable resources and fashion branads.

Thank you for reading! I’m hoping to post once a week but not holding myself to any hard and fast rules yet. I hope you enjoy reading and learning with me.
